ianrockstar So...the map is slow to update again. I am now in Sunchales about 150km from Santa Fe. The original plan was to stay in Tucaman or Santiago but the heat was unbearable. My eyes were frying in their sockets. Not pleasant, so I kept driving. Besides, there is nothing to see between Santiago and Sunchales. It is flat, boring and bloody hot.

ianrockstar Decided against the Mendoza run. Too much driving. Contrary to what the map is saying, I arrived safely in Salta at 14h30. Surprise, surprise in the middle of the Chaco where I drove without seeing another vehicle or person for 50 miles, the Blueberry Menace was still able to receive emails....

OJ Mate, don't drop off in the Pacific as a way to escape the curse of the blackberry... why are you going NW? Thought your destination was towards Mendoza?????

ianrockstar Change of plan. Good and er, fast roads meant that I´d passed my planned stop in Corrientes by late afternoon. With the sun still shining and the Traffic Fuzz keeping out of my way, I decided to push on to a place called Saenz Pena. Earlier this morning, The Curse of the Blackberry put me off the idea of driving south to Buenos Aires and Montevideo where I would be more easily contactable. Instead I am forced to drive further into the dry desert that is the Chaco in my attempts to find peace, enlightenment and no email traffic. If it wasn´t for the GPS tracking software on the Blueberry Menace, the nasty little device would have had an accident before crossing the border.

ianrockstar Yes, the average speed was legal. Following Frank´s orders. Crossed the Argentinian border at 14h30 without incident. Checked into the Saint Jorge Hotel in Puerto Iguassu then spent the afternoon looking at the waterfalls. You can tell there has been alot of rain. Heading on to Corrientes tomorrow via Posadas.
