Buddyway widget is now available!
You can now embed your map into your own webpage or blog!
Use embed your map option under the map on your trip's page:
Copy generated code and paste it into your webpage, or blog:
Buddyway widget make it possible to have a fully working, interactive map on your site with your trip's name, notes, images, statistics and interactive speed and altitude plots!
Viewers can select 'show more details >>' option to go to your trip's page at buddyway.com
Take a look at the default view of Buddyway widget:
You don't like our default colors ?
Use Customize your widget link to personalize it!
You can customize it's width, background and text color, so it better suits colors on your WWW page !
To change it's width, write the width in the proper field, and click 'change' button. Widget preview on the right is adjusted automatically.
To change background or text colors click on the input field to display color manager:
As you pick colors, the widget preview on the right is adjusted automatically. To accept the color click on the 
button.
You can also choose to hide statistics if you don't like them.
Select proper option from the menu on the left:
Then, your widget contains only map, trip name and link to trip's page at buddyway.com:

How can I publish my trip?

You can start your trip, publish it, make a widget, paste it onto your site, and then go outside.
Your widget on your site shows then your actual position. (your last position is at the end of the trip line)

that sure will work ... but what when your away from home and start a new trip that you want others to be able to track via the widget? That means the first point is only published while you're away from your PC - how would you do it then? is it possible to determine the widget's HTML-string before publishing the trip? I haven't had a chance yet to check what the HTML exactly looks like... but there sure is a reference to the trip-name. So if you set up the widget on your page prior to publishing the trip from yopur mobile it should be possible to do this with a pre-defined tripname and then later from your mobile just create/publish the trip under this name? right? or i9s the trip-name encoded somehow?

Unfortunately, there is no way now to publish your trip from your mobile phone.
You need to start your trip from your phone, send some positions, then go to WWW, publish your trip, and then create widget.
Link to your trip and the name of your trip may differ. Yes, it is html encoded.
We will propose a better way to publish your trips and live tracking soon in the next version of Buddyway application.

is there anyway to track cell phones from my laptop instead of my blackberry. for some reason my phone wont let me download the application for this.

You cannot install Buddyway on your laptop. We support only mobile-installations.

I can see this trip (http://www.buddyway.com/trip/mtrindade/ … cia-de-btt) without login and I'm registered but I couldn't find a way to add this trip to my account when I login.
I need to get this trip in Google KML format or other one to import in my OziExplorer or TrackMaker.
Could you help me?

In The Netherlands Hyves.nl is popular. But the widget is (still) not allowed for being used. Could you port the widget to hyves.nl?
